1、Ph.D. programs in finance and economics are offered by the Graduate Group of Economics at Stanford University (http：//www.econ.stanford.edu). The application deadlines for spring/summer entry is October 31st， fall entry November 30th，and winter entry February 28，29 or March 7(depending on program start dates）.
2、PhD Programs can be done part time（which I am doing now）or full-time as well. Most people do part-time Phd because it takes less time to finish and there's not much need to give up your current job.
